"Ironna Edo"

Tokyo is built on layer upon layer of history and memories, eras and monuments. This print is a personification of the "Various Edo": buildings from the eras of Edo and Tokyo stacked upon one another like the kimono layers of this city's history.

Iconic buildings and sights of the Edo and Tokyo, some still with us, some lost to history, arranged whimsically in the folds of an Edo lady's kimono.
